Alan F. Gonzalez, LL.M. is an attorney in the law firm of Walters Levine & DeGrave, where he practices in the areas of estate planning, taxation and probate.

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Alan is a member of the American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Hillsborough County Bar Association, Sarasota County Bar Association, and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers.

He is admitted to practice law before all local and state courts in the State of Florida, the U.S. District Court of Appeal for the Middle District of Florida, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Claims, and the Fifth and Eleventh U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal.

Alan is a professional lecturer and published author as to topics relating to estate planning and taxation. In addition, he has taught courses in estate planning, contracts, civil procedure, business law, tax accounting, economics and Spanish as an assistant professor and adjunct instructor at various colleges and universities such as the University of Central Florida – Orlando, Rollins College – Winter Park, Hillsborough Community College – Tampa, Alabama Christian College – Birmingham, and Royalton College – South Royalton.

EDUCATION AND SCHOLASTICS

Alan received his Master of Laws in Taxation degree from the University of Florida – Gainesville in 1978, his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree and Master of Business Administration from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law – Birmingham, Alabama in 1977, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida in 1973.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Alan is a member of St. Andrew’s Chapel in Sanford, Florida, and is a volunteer working with the ministries of John Barros of Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship, The Gospel Through Colombia, Ligonier Ministries and various related ministry activities at St. Andrew’s Chapel.
